1. Saleshandy
Saleshandy is an AI-assisted cold email platform that has recently upgraded its Chrome extension with advanced functionalities to enhance LinkedIn prospecting.
I have solid reasons for placing Saleshandy at #1 –
- You can find verified contact details without leaving LinkedIn
- You can do bulk prospecting (you will love this feature)
- You can directly push contacts to your cold email sequence
There’s more, but I have covered it in detail in the performance section.
Best Suited for:

How Saleshandy Performs?
You can’t waste your time doing tedious work that can be done by a tool.
That’s where Saleshandy helps.
You simply need to browse LinkedIn for potential leads, and Saleshandy’s extension takes care of the rest.
You can easily find contact details (verified emails + phone numbers) and directly push prospects into your cold email sequences.
Yes, all this can be done without leaving LinkedIn. Isn’t that great?
Here’s how it looks –

In fact, that’s not all.
For example, you can select a whole bunch of people with a specific job profile or a company.
FYI – You can even perform prospecting in bulk on LinkedIn.
You can either add them to your cold emails or save them, which will eventually appear on your Saleshandy dashboard.

2. Apollo.io
Apollo is an AI sales platform that helps you find the right contact details and engage with your prospects.
Best Suited for:
Startups, Sales Reps, and Small to Medium-Sized Businesses.
Download Extension from the Chrome Web Store.
User Rating
- G2: 4.7/5 ⭐ (8,575+ reviews)
- Capterra: 4.6/5 ⭐ (365+ reviews)
How Apollo.io Performs?
I would say it’s good. Pretty good.
Why? Because it gives you contact details along with account insights while you’re on LinkedIn.
When I say account insights, it means that you will be able to know the tech stack of the company, its funding history, and the latest news related to it.

Along with that, you can even push those prospects to your email sequence.
There’s one minor issue, though.
When I was trying to log in to their platform, I found that they don’t allow generic email accounts. You need to have work emails for that.
This makes it a less appealing choice for freelancers and solopreneurs.
Pricing (Billed Annually)

How Sales Navigator Performs?
Since Sales Navigator is a product of LinkedIn, you have access to almost everything that you need to close more deals.
You can use its advanced search filters to find ICPs and reach out to them via InMail messages.
The best part is that you can rely on the data since it’s a product of LinkedIn. And you won’t have to use any third-party platform for outreach.

Also, LinkedIn has partnered with CRMs to provide smooth integrations. It includes popular CRMs like Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, HubSpot, Oracle CX Sales, and Freshworks.
But it has its drawbacks.
You won’t have access to data and actionable insights on the company’s tech stack, technographic details, and in-depth firmographic information.
And more than anything, it costs a lot of money.
But if you are open to investing a significant amount, then Sales Navigator won’t disappoint you.

The best part: The Leads Manager feature eliminates duplicates and invalid emails, helping you streamline your email outreach without worry.
And it also frequently updates its database to provide the latest and accurate information when you’re prospecting on LinkedIn.
If you ask me, LeadLeaper’s outreach features are ok-ok, and its interface seems outdated. This is one of the major reasons why I’ve kept this tool at #9.

FAQs
1. What is a LinkedIn prospecting tool, and why do I need one?
LinkedIn prospecting tools help you find, contact, and engage with potential leads on LinkedIn by automating tasks like email extraction, lead list building, and outreach campaigns. They save time, improve accuracy, and scale your efforts, making it easier to connect with decision-makers for B2B sales, recruitment, or networking.
2. Are LinkedIn prospecting tools safe to use with my LinkedIn account?
Most tools, like Dripify or Snov.io, use cloud-based automation and mimic human behavior to stay within LinkedIn’s limits, reducing the risk of account restrictions. However, overuse or aggressive automation can trigger flags. Always follow LinkedIn’s terms, moderate your activity (e.g., 50-100 connection requests daily), and choose tools with safety features like unique IPs or rate limits.
While tools like Hunter.io or ContactOut work with free LinkedIn accounts, many, such as Wiza, Prospeo, or Cognism, require Sales Navigator for optimal performance, as it unlocks advanced search filters and larger lead pools. Check each tool’s requirements to ensure compatibility with your LinkedIn plan.
4. How accurate are the contact details provided by these tools?
Accuracy varies by tool. For example, UpLead and Cognism boast 95%+ email accuracy with real-time verification, while others, like LeadLeaper, average 80-90%. Phone number accuracy can be lower, especially for non-US markets. Always verify critical contacts manually and choose tools with robust verification features.
5. How do these tools comply with GDPR or data privacy regulations?
Tools like Saleshandy and Cognism emphasize GDPR compliance with verified, opt-in data, but others, such as Prospeo or LeadLeaper, may lack explicit compliance tools, which poses risks in Europe. I suggest that you always review your tool’s privacy policy and ensure your outreach aligns with local regulations, especially for EU prospects.
