Smartlead’s basic plan costs $32.5/month with annual billing ($39/month without annual billing).
That means you will have to pay a one-time fee of $390 (annual billing), which is a considerable amount of money.
So, what does Smartlead offer in return?

- You cannot add more than 2,000 prospects.
To add more, you either have to delete an existing prospect or upgrade your plan. - When you delete an active prospect,
Smartlead will delete all your conversations with them. - Your unused email sending credits will not be rolled over.
For eg, if you send 5,000 emails in the first month, your remaining 1,000 emails will go to waste.
- You cannot add or invite team members.

That is more than twice the amount that Smartlead charges for the Basic Plan.

You need to pay nearly 2X the amount, and you do not get to specify the number of emails you want to send or prospects you want to add.
This means you might end up paying for features or volumes you might never end up using!

This plan is best suited for outbound sales and recruitment agencies.
But honestly speaking, it is hard to recommend this plan even to agencies because it requires you to pay extra for adding clients.

Apart from that, Instantly lets you create advanced sequences right from the base plan.
Overall, I think Smartlead slightly outperforms Instantly.
But, in my opinion, they are both competing for second since Saleshandy outperforms them both.
3. Smartlead vs Lemlist Pricing
Lemlist’s pricing is both complicated and expensive, but it does offer some good features (check out my Lemlist Review to see how it works).
Its cold email plan, Email Pro, starts at $55/month (annual billing).
For that, you can send unlimited hyperpersonalized emails to as many prospects as you want.

Plus, you get 1,000 free lead finder credits that you can use to find emails + phones, prospect on LinkedIn, or enrich lead lists.
