Cognism Pricing, Plans & Key Features: Is It Worth It?

PriteshPriteshUpdated: Oct 21, 202619 min read18 reads

When you’re investing in a sales intelligence platform like Cognism, pricing isn’t a small detail. It’s what determines whether the data is worth the investment.

And if you’ve landed on Cognism’s pricing page expecting to see, well, prices, you won’t find any.

You won’t find a price anywhere on Cognism’s website. Instead, you get two plans, Standard and Pro, followed by a feature comparison and one clear next step: Talk to Sales.

That means no starting price, no monthly or annual billing comparison, and no quick way to estimate what Cognism might cost your team.

And that makes budgeting tricky, especially when you’re trying to estimate costs for your entire sales team.

That’s exactly why I wrote this.

I went through Cognism’s current pricing page (as of October 2026), cross-referenced it with Vendr’s procurement data from 108 real Cognism contracts, read through G2 reviews, and pulled together what Cognism actually costs; no guesswork or fluff.

In this Cognism pricing guide, you’ll find:

  • a complete plan breakdown,
  • the hidden costs nobody warns you about,
  • who should (and shouldn’t) buy Cognism,
  • alternatives that give you more for less.

Let’s now dive deep into the Cognism pricing structure. 👇👇👇

The Core Truth:

Cognism is a premium data platform built for teams that sell into European markets and rely heavily on cold calling. The data quality, especially verified mobile numbers, is hard to match for EMEA.

But you’re paying enterprise prices for a tool that only gives you data. You’ll still need to buy separate tools for sending emails, warming up inboxes, and managing outreach. That’s where the real cost starts to stack up.

How Cognism Pricing Works in 2026

Cognism’s pricing model sounds simple enough on the surface, but the devil, as they say, is in the details.

1. Platform Fee + Per-User Licensing

Cognism charges a base platform fee plus per-user seat licenses, bundled into an annual contract.

Third-party procurement sources – Vendr, Salesmotion, and MarketBetter – estimate the platform fee at 15,000–25,000 per year depending on the plan, with per-user costs of 1,500–2,500 per year.

Here’s what’s changed recently: Cognism’s current pricing page (October 2026) now states that both Standard and Pro plans include 5 seats. That’s a shift from the old model where platform fee and per-user licenses were quoted separately from the first seat.

What that means for you: if you’re a team of 2–3, you may be paying for seats you won’t use. And if you’re scaling past 5, the pricing for additional seats isn’t disclosed on the page. You’ll only find out during the sales call.

These are third-party estimates, not Cognism-published figures. Actual pricing varies based on negotiation, team size, and contract terms.

2. Credits – How Cognism Charges Per Contact

Here’s something most reviews get wrong about Cognism – including some that currently rank on page one of Google.

Cognism’s current pricing page explicitly runs on a credit-based system. One credit equals one revealed contact. Each seat comes with a credit allocation (amount undisclosed), and you can buy additional credits at any time.

A few things worth knowing:

  • No charge for re-viewing contacts you’ve already revealed. So at least you’re not double-paying for the same lead.
  • Same credits work across prospecting, Enrich, and API. No separate pools.
  • The exact credit allocation per seat is not disclosed on the pricing page. You won’t know how many contacts you can reveal per month until you’re in a sales conversation.

Why does this matter?

Because some competitors still describe Cognism as having “unrestricted access” that “ditches credit-based systems.” That was the old model. The current pricing page tells a different story.

3. Annual Contracts Only – No Monthly Option

Cognism doesn’t mention billing cadence or contract terms anywhere on its pricing page. But every third-party source tells the same story: annual contracts, no monthly option.

Third-party procurement data also reports typical renewal increases of 10–15% unless you negotiate a cap upfront.

That’s not unusual for enterprise SaaS, but it’s worth knowing before you sign.

If the plan names look unfamiliar, you’re not alone. Cognism has rebranded its pricing plans twice:

  • Original names: Platinum and Diamond
  • First rebrand: Grow and Elevate
  • Current names (Oct 2026): Standard and Pro

If you come across any of these in other reviews, they’re referring to the same two plans. Cognism’s own help center still references legacy names in some places, which adds to the confusion.

1. What’s in Standard

Standard is the entry-level plan. Based on Cognism’s current pricing page, here’s what’s included:

  • B2B contact and company data (emails, mobiles, job titles, work history, revenue, headcount)
  • Technology usage data
  • Contextual signals – hiring, funding & M&A, job changes
  • AI company research, AI persona builder, AI search
  • MCP & API access (tagged as “NEW” on the page)
  • CSV enrichment
  • SSO
  • 5 seats included
  • Live chat support and a dedicated account manager

What’s not included in Standard: Premium mobile filter, mobile verification on demand, intent data, and CRM Enrichment (available as a paid add-on).

2. What Pro Adds (Only 3 Things)

Here’s what surprised me when I went through the feature comparison table on Cognism’s pricing page row by row.

Out of 18 features listed, Standard and Pro are identical on 15 of them. The Pro upgrade comes down to exactly three things:

  1. Premium mobile filter – access to Cognism’s phone-verified Diamond Data contacts
  2. Mobile verification on demand – submit specific contacts for manual phone verification
  3. Intent data – Bombora-powered buying signals that flag accounts actively researching relevant topics

Everything else – AI features, API access, CSV enrichment, contextual signals, SSO, support, account manager – is the same on both plans.

What this means for you: If your team primarily does email outreach and doesn’t rely on cold calling or intent signals, Standard gives you the same platform at a lower price. The Pro upsell is narrower than most reviews suggest.

What Does Cognism Cost You by Team Size?

Since Cognism uses a platform fee plus per-user model, the per-person cost drops significantly as your team grows.

Here’s what the math looks like:

Team Size Standard (Est. Annual) Pro (Est. Annual) Standard Per-User Pro Per-User
1 user ~$16,500 ~$27,500 ~$16,500 ~$27,500
3 users ~$19,500 ~$32,500 ~$6,500 ~$10,833
5 users ~$22,500 ~$37,500 ~$4,500 ~$7,500
10 users ~$30,000 ~$50,000 ~$3,000 ~$5,000
25 users ~$52,500 ~$87,500 ~$2,100 ~$3,500

Source: Third-party estimates from Vendr, Salesmotion, and MarketBetter. Cognism does not publish list prices.

Key takeaway: The economics favor larger teams. A solo user on Standard is paying ~16,500/yr for the same platform that costs~3,000/user when spread across 10 people.

If you’re a team of 1–3, you’re paying a premium that’s hard to justify unless you specifically need EMEA phone-verified data.

Since Cognism now bundles 5 seats into each plan, a solo buyer might effectively be paying the 5-seat package price anyway. Confirm this directly during the sales process.

Hidden Costs Beyond the Base Price

The quoted price is just the tip of the iceberg. Here’s what else you should budget for.

1. CRM Enrichment Is an Add-On

This one flew under the radar for every competitor blog I analyzed – and I checked all eight pages ranking on page one.

Cognism’s current pricing page (October 2026) lists CRM Enrichment as a paid add-on for both Standard and Pro plans. It’s not bundled into either tier.

If keeping your Salesforce or HubSpot records clean and up-to-date is part of your workflow, factor this cost in on top of your base subscription.

2. Intent Data Topic Costs

Cognism Pro includes up to 12 Bombora intent topics selected from 11,000+ categories. Need more? Third-party sources estimate additional topics cost 200-400 each.

Organizations tracking competitive activity across multiple markets could spend an extra 2,000-4,000 on topic add-ons alone.

3. Onboarding Fees and Renewal Increases

Third-party estimates put onboarding at 500–1,500 (one-time), depending on CRM integration complexity. Contracts typically include 10–15% price increases at renewal. Negotiate a cap or multi-year lock before signing.

4. You’ll Still Need to Buy Outreach, Warm-Up, and Dialer Tools Separately…

Here’s the part that catches most buyers off guard.

Cognism is a data platform. It finds contacts, verifies phone numbers, and serves intent signals. What it doesn’t do: send emails, manage sequences, warm up inboxes, rotate sending accounts, or run multichannel outreach campaigns.

For that, you need a separate stack. And when I say stack, I mean a proper cold email software setup with email deliverability tools layered on top.

Here’s what it typically looks like:

Additional Tool Purpose Estimated Annual Cost
Outreach or Salesloft Email sequences + dialer $30,000–$48,000 (for 10 users)
Email warm-up tool Inbox placement $1,200–$6,000
LinkedIn Sales Navigator Social selling $6,000–$9,000 (for 10 users)
CRM (Salesforce/HubSpot) Pipeline management Varies widely
Total stack (10 users) $50,000–$80,000+/yr BEFORE the CRM

Add Cognism Pro for 10 users (~$50,000) to that stack, and you’re looking at 100,000–130,000+ per year to run outbound. That’s not a pricing page detail – that’s a budget conversation.

This is the cost most blogs gloss over because every competitor ranking for “cognism pricing” is another data platform. They don’t flag the outreach gap because they have the same gap themselves.

How to Get the Best Deal on Cognism

If you’ve weighed the options and Cognism is still the right fit for your team, here’s how to make sure you’re not paying more than you should.

  1. Time it right. Cognism’s sales team works on quarterly quotas. Deals signed in the final two weeks of a quarter consistently close at better rates.
  2. Bring competitive quotes. Written proposals from ZoomInfo, Apollo, or Saleshandy give your negotiation real leverage. Vendr reports buyers save an average of 26% off the initial quote.
  3. Lock your renewal terms upfront. Standard renewal increases run 10–15%. Negotiate a 0–5% annual cap before you sign year one.
  4. Bundle intent topics. Buying 10+ Bombora topics during the initial deal can bring per-topic pricing down from the 200–400 range to an estimated 75–150.
  5. Push for free onboarding. On deals above 30K,onboardingfees(500–$1,500) are typically negotiable. Don’t pay for something that should be included at that contract size.

So, Is Cognism Worth the Price?

Let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater. Cognism has genuine strengths. The question is whether those strengths match what your team actually needs.

When Cognism Is the Right Choice

  • Your team sells primarily into EMEA: Cognism’s Diamond Data delivers phone-verified European mobile numbers that are genuinely hard to match. Coverage across the UK, DACH, France, Benelux, and Nordics is best-in-class.
  • Cold calling is your primary outreach channel: Cognism claims a 3x improvement in connect rates with verified mobiles, and G2 reviewers generally back this up for European contacts.
  • You’re an enterprise team (10+ users) with a budget above $30K/yr: The platform fee amortizes well at scale, and the compliance story (GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001) checks procurement boxes.
  • Compliance is non-negotiable: Cognism screens against DNC lists in 15+ countries as standard and is built for GDPR-first environments.

When Cognism May Not Be Worth It

  • Your target market is US-focused: Alternatives like ZoomInfo, Apollo, and Saleshandy offer broader and often more accurate US data coverage.
  • You’re a team of 1–5 people: The effective per-user cost is 4,500–16,500/yr – before you’ve sent a single email.
  • Your budget is under $15K/yr: Cognism’s minimum viable spend exceeds this threshold.
  • You need data AND outreach in one platform: Cognism only provides data. You’ll still need 2–3 more tools for email, warm-up, and sequence automation.
  • You want month-to-month flexibility: Annual contracts only, no monthly option, 10–15% renewal bumps.

What Real Users Say About Cognism

Based on G2 reviews and Capterra:

Read pros and cons of Cognism in detail…

What users praise: Diamond Data mobile accuracy for European contacts, the Chrome extension’s usability for LinkedIn prospecting, responsive customer support, and the compliance-first approach.

What users flag as concerns: pricing opacity and sticker shock, credit limitations on high-volume teams, data gaps outside EMEA (especially US), the lack of built-in outreach or engagement tools, and auto-renewal contracts with 60-day cancellation notice windows.

A common theme I found across reviews: Users who sell into Europe and rely on cold calling rate Cognism highly. Users who need global data coverage or want an all-in-one outbound platform consistently look for alternatives.

Best Cognism Alternative in 2026

Saleshandy is worth calling out specifically because it solves the structural problem with Cognism’s model: the fact that you’re buying data from one vendor and then spending 2–3x more on tools to actually use that data.

With Saleshandy, you get prospecting (852M+ contacts via Lead Finder with 75+ filters), multichannel outreach (automated email sequences, cold calling with Native Dialer, LinkedIn automation), and deliverability (email warm-up, included free on all plans) – all in one platform.

The best part is that there’s no per-seat pricing. You’ll get unlimited email accounts.

Where Cognism’s 10-user Pro plan costs ~$50,000/yr for data alone – requiring another 30,000–48,000 for Outreach or Salesloft – Saleshandy’s Scale plan covers the same 10-person team at 149/mo(1,788/yr), with data, outreach, warm-up, and inbox management included.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cognism Pricing

1. How Much Does Cognism Cost?

Cognism does not publish pricing. Based on Vendr procurement data across 108 recorded contracts, the median annual cost is approximately $36,000, with a range of $18,350 to $93,886. Your actual price depends on team size, plan level (Standard or Pro), credit allocation, and how well you negotiate.

2. Does Cognism Have a Free Trial?

No. Cognism does not offer a conventional free trial or free plan. It provides a free data sample of 25 leads matched to your ICP – essentially a quality preview, not a hands-on product trial. You’ll need to go through a sales call to access the platform.

3. Is Cognism Cheaper Than ZoomInfo?

It depends on team size and feature needs, but they’re in the same ballpark. Third-party estimates put Cognism at 15,000–50,000+/yr and ZoomInfo at 25,000–50,000+/yr. Cognism is generally positioned slightly below ZoomInfo on price but leads on EMEA data quality, while ZoomInfo has stronger US coverage and deeper company intelligence.

4. What Is Cognism Diamond Data?

Diamond Data is Cognism’s phone-verified mobile number dataset – their flagship differentiator. A research team manually calls each contact to confirm identity and number accuracy. The verified database includes 10M+ contacts globally, with particularly strong coverage in Europe (UK, DACH, France, Benelux, Nordics). Diamond Data is available exclusively on the Pro plan (shown as “Premium mobile filter” and “Mobile verification on demand” on the current pricing page).

5. Can I Get Cognism on a Monthly Subscription?

No. Cognism’s pricing page does not mention monthly billing, and every third-party source consistently reports annual contracts with no monthly option. If month-to-month flexibility matters to your team, platforms like Saleshandy (from 34/mo), Apollo(49/user/mo) and Lusha ($36/user/mo) all offer monthly billing alongside annual options.

6. What Is the Best Cognism Alternative?

It depends on what you need. If you want B2B data, outreach automation, and email deliverability tools in a single platform with transparent pricing and no per-seat charges, Saleshandy is the strongest fit (starting at $34/mo with 852M+ contacts via Lead Finder). If you need the deepest US enterprise intelligence, ZoomInfo is the legacy choice. For budget-conscious teams, Apollo offers a free plan and self-serve access.

7. Who Are Cognism’s Main Competitors?

The main competitors in the B2B sales intelligence space include ZoomInfo (US enterprise data), Apollo.io (self-serve data + engagement), Lusha (simple contact enrichment), Saleshandy (all-in-one outbound platform with 852M+ contacts, built-in outreach, and warm-up), and 6sense (account-level intent intelligence). Each serves different use cases and price points.
