Hey everyone, there has been a thread of discussions, questions, and confusion for a long time about the fate of the email warm-up among our users over different channels.
On the same note, I have important news to share to give more clarity.
Recently, we received a notice from Google, which has forced us to decide to shut down our warm-up service for all google accounts (Free Gmail or Gsuite) accounts by all means.
Yes, it’s a big update. I understand that this news might be disappointing for many of you who have been relying on our warm-up service.
I would like to clarify and explain the reasons behind this decision and our next steps.
What is email warm-up?
For those unfamiliar with our warm-up feature, I would like to explain what it is and how the decision will impact you.
Email warm-up is gradually increasing the number of emails you send over a while to build trust with email service providers (ESPs) like Google. This helps to improve your email deliverability rates, which is the likelihood of your emails landing in your prospect’s inboxes rather than their spam folders.
Saleshandy’s Email Warm-up automates gradually increasing the number of emails sent.
It monitors email deliverability rates, auto-creates conversational email threads within the pool of real email addresses, auto-engages with the warm-up emails, auto-sends positive signals, and takes positive actions like removing from spam or marking as important and resulting in improved campaign performance.
What does the shutdown mean for Google accounts?
If you are using Google accounts with Saleshandy, you won’t be able to connect your email accounts for email warm-up. All your existing campaigns will be disabled, whether connected through native integration or SMTP/IMAP.
You may also face errors in Saleshandy if you try to connect your Google accounts for warm-up, and you will receive a note if you try to connect a new email account that we don’t support email warm-up for Google.
Note: The email warm-up would work fine with all ESPs besides Google.
Why are we shutting down warm-up for Google accounts?
Over the past few years, we have worked hard to create a reliable email warm-up service that helps Google and other ESP users improve their email deliverability and increase their email opens.
However, we recently received a notice from Google indicating that our service violates their terms of service. We take this notice very seriously and want to ensure that we fully comply with Google’s terms of service.
Following the terms and conditions is important to ensure uninterrupted access to Google’s API, which we want to provide for your best experience (accurate reply tracking and hassle-free sending).
As a result, we have decided to shut down our warm-up service for Google accounts immediately.
Note: The warm-up would continue to work as usual for other ESPs.
What should you do next?
We recommend that the Google account users take the following actions:
- Remove your Saleshandy warm-up from any Google email accounts.
- You can meanwhile opt for other ESP supported by Saleshandy.
- Use email ramp to improve the sending frequency of your new email accounts.
- Follow deliverability practices, setting up your records along with custom tracking domains.
We will contact all our Google account users individually to provide further information and support in making the transition smooth.
We are planning alternatives
Although this has come as a setback to our users and us, we won’t stop supporting you or let your user experience get compromised. We’re already considering various options and alternatives to cope with the decision.
You will receive an update within 2 weeks on how to continue using your warm-up.
It’s a difficult phase, and we need your support and feedback to improve our features.
If you have any questions or concerns about this decision, please do not hesitate to contact our team at [email protected].
