A follow-up email should add some value to your previous conversation with the prospect. Here are 3 common follow-up mistakes that we have noticed:

Not using a catchy subject line.

Before reading any part of your email, your subject line is what will catch the prospect’s attention. If your follow-up email subject line is not catchy enough, it will most likely go unnoticed.

Your subject line should be a combination of personalization + value addition instead of a clickbait. This method will help to get a higher response rate.

CTA is not clear 

It is noted that if there are too many CTAs, the prospects feel confused and leave the conversation. Too many CTAs make it difficult for the prospect to understand what exact action you want them to take. 

One clear CTA in the right direction is enough to communicate your message.  

The time gap between emails

The time gap between your initial email and your follow-up email is imperative. Your follow-up email shouldn’t be 10-15 days after your first conversation.
