Apollo.io Pricing 2025: Plans, Features, and Better Alternatives

If you have ever tried to understand Apollo.io’s pricing, you already know it is not as simple as it looks.

You start checking the plans and soon notice that prospecting, outreach, and workflows are all priced differently.

Then the credit usage appears, and that’s where things change.

Some features are part of the plan, some require credits, and several are available only when you switch to higher plans.

Remember, Apollo.io works mainly on credits, even if the plans seem user-based.

Phone number reveals, enrichment, and other core actions consume credits, and they go faster with daily usage.

So instead of judging the price at face value, you need to see where credits apply and how usage affects cost.

Here is an Apollo.io pricing breakdown that helps you understand what you pay for in usage.

How Much Does Apollo.io Cost Annually?

Apollo.io runs on a hybrid pricing model. You pay a fixed subscription fee and get monthly credits that you use for enrichment, research, and phone reveals.

Your total cost depends on how fast those credits get over. If you choose annual billing, you save up to 20% and receive the full year’s credit allowance upfront, which helps when you run larger outreach cycles.

Here is a quick look at Apollo.io’s pricing plans and what each plan offers.

Pro Tip: Use your credits before your current annual or monthly plan expires, as credits in Apollo.io do not roll over to the next billing cycle.

Before anything else, let’s understand how credits are charged.

Credit Consumption Breakdown

Here’s how credits get used inside Apollo.io:

• Phone number reveal costs 8 credits each time
• Verified email access requires 1 credit
• AI research analysis consumes 1 credit per run
• Data enrichment ranges between 1–8 credits depending on depth

Apollo.io Pricing Plans Breakdown

Here is a more detailed look at each pricing plan offered by Apollo.io, including its features and limitations:

  1. Free Plan
  2. Basic Plan
  3. Professional Plan
  4. Organization Plan

1. Free Plan

Are you just looking to try what Apollo.io has to offer?

With its free plan, you can access Apollo.io’s massive contact database.

This allows you to test major functionalities using its features and even identify around 1,200 email prospects per month.

Let’s explore how you can use Apollo’s free plan to your advantage:

Features Provided

  • Grants 1,200 credits/user per year (granted monthly)
  • Access to their database of over 210M+ contacts
  • Includes their lead management services
  • Host up to six meeting events per user
  • Record calls for up to 150 minutes
  • Access to their AI assistant and AI Research
  • Supports two active sequences and 1 Intent Topic
  • Daily email sending for up to 250 emails

Limitations

Here are the three major restrictions that I found in the Free plan:

  • Only 100 credits per month. This limits your access to Apollo.io’s features and will require you to upgrade to a premium subscription.
  • Lack of advanced filtering results in inaccurate target tracking and data analytics.
  • Your ability to target the right companies will be very limited, as only one intent topic restricts the number of prospects you can find for a particular interest.
  • The plan has minimal allowances for basic functionalities such as call recording and data enrichment.

While I understand this plan is for testing, even basic outreach planning will quickly exhaust your credits.

Who Should Choose This Plan?

In my opinion, only individual users who are just beginning their outreach efforts should opt for Apollo’s free plan.

This is a good option to explore Apollo’s huge contact database without eating into your budget.

2. Basic Plan

This is Apollo’s entry-level plan, priced at $49 per user per month with annual billing.

It offers higher credit limits and enables access to better outreach features. You also get full access to automated sequencing to help with your daily workflow.

Moreover, better data enrichment and AI capabilities can help you find your desired prospects more easily and accurately.

Features Provided

In addition to the features listed in the free plan, you get:

  • Up to 30,000 credits/yr per user, granted upfront.
  • Native CRM integrations with platforms like HubSpot, Salesforce, and more
  • Up to 2 automated workflows.
  • Unlimited sequencing to run as many email campaigns as you want
  • Advanced filters to help with your prospecting
  • Waterfall and Job Change Enrichment
  • 3 Inbound Routers and 6 Intent Topics
  • AI lead scoring with advanced filters and details

Limitations

While Apollo’s basic plan is great, I found these major restrictions:

  • No built-in dialer, removing the ability to call your prospects directly within Apollo.
  • With only 2.5k credits/mo, you will quickly run out of active users and access to basic features.
  • Even basic features have limitations. For example, you can schedule only six meetings per month.
  • No access to core features like Custom Permission Profiles and Billing Manager Profiles.

Who Should Choose This Plan?

This plan is only suited for individual users or small teams looking to begin their outreach journey. The limited amount of credits can create monthly bottlenecks for large sales teams.

If your outreach is largely dependent on emails and you are looking for an expansive contact database, this is the plan for you.

3. Professional Plan

This is Apollo’s most popular paid tier as it includes nearly all advanced features provided by Apollo.io.

It includes advanced AI abilities with automated scenario testing. Higher credit and call limits also allow significantly stronger outbound efforts.

But it is also one of the most expensive plans in its segment. It costs $79 per user per month with annual billing.

So, what do you get for your money?

Features Provided

Alongside all of the features included in the basic plan, you will get:

  • 48,000 credits/yr per user granted upfront (4,000 credits monthly)
  • Unlimited automated workflows, inbound routers, and meeting events
  • AI call insights and A/B Tested Sequencing
  • Unlimited Gmail and Outlook Mailboxes
  • 8 Intent topics and advanced filters
  • Call Recording for up to 4000 minutes

Limitations

Looks like the perfect plan for your outreach, right? But even Apollo’s professional plan suffers from significant limitations.

These include:

  • The built-in dialer only works for US and Canadian phone numbers. International calling is not supported, limiting your outbound efforts.
  • For high-volume prospecting, 4,000 credits per month are still not enough. This is mainly due to Apollo.io’s high credit-to-lead pricing.
Example: Suppose you use only the professional plan to acquire phone contacts. Since Apollo charges eight credits per number, you can only get 1000 phone numbers per month.
  • No advanced security configurations like IP Whitelisting or Login controls are supported under this plan.
  • Does not include enterprise-level features like Single Sign-On (SSO), access to personal LLM API Keys, and custom permission profiles.
  • Still no support for Billing and Seat Manager profiles.

Who Should Choose This Plan?

This is a good plan for US sales teams and SDR managers who need a unified platform for their outreach.

They can get email, phone, and automation all under a single workflow with great CRM integrations. Just make sure you keep track of the credits your team is using; they can run out quickly!

4. Organisation Plan

This is Apollo.io’s enterprise offering for large businesses and corporations. It includes the entire feature set, including enterprise-level security options like SSO and IP Whitelisting.

With the highest credit limits and feature support, this plan provides the most unrestricted usage of Apollo.io possible without add-ons.

It is also the only plan that offers international VoIP dialing.

But to access this plan, you need at least three paying users on your team. This will cost you $119 per user per month when billed annually.

Let us check what features you will get for such a high price point:

Features Provided

Alongside the host of features included in the Professional plan, your team will get:

  • Up to 72,000 credits annually
  • Customisable reports and dashboards
  • Advanced security configurations and Single Sign-On (SSO)
  • International Dialer that supports VoIP calling (limited minutes and countries)
  • 12 Intent Topics for better targeting
  • Identification of Website Visitors (up to 100 companies per month)
  • Real-time Form Enrichment for enhanced user experience
  • Option to use your own LLM API key
  • Dedicated Customer Support for easy assistance
  • Call Recording of up to 8,000 minutes

Limitations

Even though this is Apollo’s most premium offering, it still suffers from some limitations.

  • The 3-user minimum limitation makes the effective costs very high. You will need to pay at least $4,284 annually (cost of 3 users) just to access the plan’s features!
  • Even at this premium price, your team’s activity is limited to just 6,000 credits/mo per user.

Who Should Choose This Plan?

This plan is an excellent choice for large-scale enterprises looking for strict security requirements and global calling facilities.

It also supports custom reporting and advanced integrations that blend Apollo into your company’s day-to-day operations.

Apollo.io Add-Ons and Extra Costs

Paying for the annual subscription is only the first step. You will still end up paying extra for add-ons and important features that you rely on daily.

  1. Dialer Minute Packs
  2. Inbound Add On
  3. Additional Credit Pricing

1. Dialer Minute Packs

The built-in dialer offered by Apollo is not unlimited. You will pay for the “dialer minutes” that you consume using this tool.

From my conversation with Apollo’s customer support, I learned that your dialing minutes are tied to your plan pricing.

Here is a breakdown of how many dialing minutes are included with your plan.

PlanMonthly Price (Annual Billing)US MinutesInternational Minutes
Free$00 minutesN/A
Basic$49490 minutesN/A
Professional$79790 minutesN/A
Organization$1191,190 minutes357 minutes

This means that even after you pay $119/mo for Apollo’s highest premium plan, you will only get 357 minutes of international calling. Any additional calls will need you to buy additional credits or upgrade your plan (if you are on a lower-tier plan).

2. Inbound Add On

To further scale your lead generation, you will need to purchase a separate $149/mo add-on for your team. This will enable higher limits and additional features like.

FeaturePaid Plan LimitWith Inbound Add-On
Website Visitors ID100 companies/month50,000 companies/month
Form Enrichment10 contacts/month5,000 contacts/month
Form Builder & Visitor Contact IDNot IncludedIncluded

3. Additional Credit Pricing

As discussed before, nearly all of Apollo.io’s base features use credits. When you run out of credits for your paid plan, here is how much it will cost to buy additional credits.

Annual CreditsAdditional Annual CostPrice Per Credit
1,000$25$0.03
2,500$50$0.02
5,000$100$0.02
10,000$180$0.02
20,000$320$0.02
50,000$800$0.02
100,000$1,600$0.02
250,000$3,750$0.02

Is Apollo Worth the Price?

After adding up the cost of add-ons on top of the paid subscriptions, Apollo.io seems very expensive.

Just a basic 3-person team on their professional plan ($79/mo) with an Inbound add-on ($119) can cost you upwards of $386 per month!

So, is it worth the price? Let’s check it out.

Pros

  • Unified platform with 210M+ contacts, built-in sequencing, and solid CRM integrations
  • AI features such as automated writing, call analysis, and research improve productivity
  • Can support inbound and outbound strategies when used with relevant add-ons

Cons

  • Pricing is unpredictable due to per-user seats and credit-based usage
  • Low credit allowances on mid-tier plans limit prospecting volume
  • Common features such as international dialing require the highest tier plan
  • No credit rollover increases costs during large outreach cycles
  • Even with built-in dialer, call charges apply; international calling only at top-tier pricing

Verdict

Apollo.io can justify its price when an established US team needs AI-supported outreach.

But if your pipeline spans different countries or regions, it will cost more and feel restrictive.

Apollo.io Pricing Compared to Competitors

Here is how Apollo.io compares to other market leaders in its segment.

  1. Apollo.io vs Saleshandy
  2. Apollo.io vs Instantly
  3. Apollo.io vs Lemlist

1. Apollo.io vs Saleshandy

Saleshandy has one of the simplest pricing models in the market. With flat-rate pricing that starts at just $25/user/month, it is less than half the price of Apollo.io’s basic plan.

It includes unlimited email sending, warming, and sequences. Saleshandy also has AI features, such as AI Sequence Copilot, AI Variants, AI Prospect Enrichment, and AI Lead Search, to help you in your outreach.

Moreover, Saleshandy supports Webhooks and API for easier access to external apps. It also offers advanced capabilities like Inbox Placement Tests to check where exactly your emails are landing in the receiver’s inbox.

The best advantage? Saleshandy’s mid and premium tiers allow an unlimited number of team members to join the same plan!

2. Apollo.io vs Instantly

Instantly primarily focuses on email deliverability and supports unlimited sending. Starting at around $30/month, it offers reliable email outreach and many advanced outbound features.

While Apollo has a much larger database, it is limited by its credit-based pricing. Also, for high-volume email outreach, Instantly is far more flexible.

Check this review of Instantly to know the flexibility for launching your cold email campaigns.

3. Apollo.io vs Lemlist

Lemlist’s entry-level plan is a little more expensive than Apollo’s at $55 per user per month. But while both tools use credit systems, Lemlist has a different approach towards outreach.

It focuses on multi-channel campaigns that provide personalised cold emailing across email, LinkedIn, and calls.

In my usage of both tools, I have found that Apollo has a stronger database and lead intelligence.

But when it comes to providing personalised outreach across platforms, Lemlist takes the lead.

Do you want to understand the platform in detail? Check this review on Lemlist to have complete clarity.

Why Saleshandy is a Better Alternative to Apollo.io

Through this blog, I walked you through Apollo.io’s pricing, how the credits work, and what actually drives the cost up when you start using it daily.

So the question is simple: should you pay $49 to $119 per user every month? Apollo.io gives you automation, enrichment, calling, and intent signals.

But once the credits start running out, the cost begins to rise through add-ons, extra credit packs, and higher plan upgrades.

This becomes tough for teams that send high volumes or run outreach in multiple regions.

You don’t have to deal with that. There are platforms that let you scale without charging extra each time your usage grows.

Saleshandy gives you deliverability support, AI help for sequences, team access, and steady sending volume without tying everything to credits.

Sign up for Saleshandy, try your emails, check inbox placement, and see how your outreach runs day to day.

You will notice more control, simpler planning, and less wasted budget as you grow.
